Dr. Diaz Garcia is a board-certified psychiatrist specialized in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and currently specializing in Reproductive Psychiatry. He completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology at Brown University followed by his Doctorate of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Diaz Garcia completed his residency training in Psychiatry at Rutgers NJMS and has recently completed specialized training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He has contributed to the field of Reproductive Psychiatry through multiple grand round, resident training lectures, and public access presentations on topics in reproductive psychiatry including a review on the complications of substance use in pregnancy, the approach to family planning for women with severe mental illness in the general outpatient psychiatric setting, as well as a review on the potential psychiatric sequelae of fertility treatments.
