Dr. Lia Okun is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in culturally competent psychotherapy, mood disorders, traumatic issues, and perinatal mental health. She attended the University of San Diego for undergraduate studies and The New School for Social Research where she received her Doctorate in Psychology. Dr. Okun completed her internship at Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital and a fellowship at Mt. Sinai in their World Trade Center Mental Health Clinic. She has since worked as the Director of mental health services for NYU medical students and residents. Dr. Okun is in private practice in New York.
