Dr. Johnson served as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant at The Motherhood Center. In addition, she is a licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Dr. Johnson’s research focuses on race-based traumatic stress, microaggressions, and cultural competence in mental health service delivery. She applies these areas of expertise to provide training and supervision on improving access and quality of mental health services for traditionally underserved populations in mental health. She received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Florida and her doctorate from Columbia University.
