Nicole Van Nortwick, Ph.D

Dr. Van Nortwick is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in perinatal mental health and relational psychotherapy. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for undergraduate studies and Boston University for her master’s in psychology. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Derner Institute at Adelphi University. As an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Van Nortwick treated patients across the lifespan while providing clinical training in psychiatry.
In addition, she co-created the Women’s Program Team in the Community Outpatient Mental Health Clinic at NYP Columbia University Medical Center. She developed the Women’s Program Team as a complete training rotation within perinatal psychiatry and piloted a dyadic group model for perinatal women suffering from psychiatric illness. In addition to her work at The Motherhood Center, Dr. Van Nortwick is an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at New York University.
