Lily Peterson received her undergraduate degree from Colby College studying sociology and creative writing. She has interned at various maternal health non-profits that focus on raising awareness of the lack of equitable maternity care for women in traditionally underserved communities. As an intern, she performed research on the maternal healthcare industry regarding policies and summarized the information to be posted online to encourage donations and connections through other nonprofits. From her background, Lily has grown a strong interest in uplifting aspects of maternal healthcare that is often disregarded, such as mothers who experience PMADS, and is passionate about validating women’s mental health in a world that typically ignores it.
